Countries which have
Formal Diplomatic Relations
with the Republic of China on Taiwan







In early 2000 there were 29 countries -- mainly small states from the Caribbean, Central America, Africa, and the Pacific -- that maintained formal diplomatic relations with the Republic of China on Taiwan.

As of early Oct. 2006, this number has decreased to 24 countries. A listing of these countries follows, and each is annotated with the year in which it established diplomatic relations with the ROC.
